Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat clinched the gold medal in the men’s freestyle 57kg category at the Asian Games 2026, defeating North Korea’s Han Chong Song 11-7 in the final.
The Olympic bronze medallist produced a composed performance in Aichi-Nagoya, controlling the key exchanges to secure the top prize and add another gold to India’s best-ever day at the Games.
Sehrawat’s title continues India’s strong wrestling tradition at the Asian Games, where the country’s grapplers are consistently among the medals.
The gold was one of several won by India on a golden Saturday, alongside the men’s cricket and hockey teams.
